Stanley Tucci was born on November 11, 1960, in Peekskill, New York. He started acting in his late 20s, beginning with small roles in independent films and Off-Off-Broadway productions. In 1985, he made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning play "The Misanthrope." In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he became known for his work in independent films such as "Prizzi's Honor," "Billy Bathgate," and "The Pelican Brief." It wasn't until the late 1990s and early 2000s that he began to gain wider recognition for his work in mainstream films, such as "The Devil Wears Prada," "Julie & Julia," and "The Hunger Games" series.
